TELUS International is looking for a Human Resources Manager to join our AI team in Tokio. 

HR manager will oversee all aspects of Human Resources practices and processes. HR Manager will support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives. 

The goal is to promote corporate values and enable business success through human resources management, including job design, performance management, training and onboarding


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acts as HR responsible for TELUS AI employees Japan, India, China and Korea
  • Reports to HR Director and works closely with global HR colleagues
  • Oversee, refine, and execute employee standards and procedures, using and improving HR existing and recommended systems and processes
  • Identify and recommend areas of improvement to internal standard operating procedures
  • Champion the onboarding process, ensuring the process is up to date and of high quality, providing clarity and connection for all employees and their role in relation to the overall vision
  • Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending local human resource policies and procedures
  • Plan, monitor, and appraise HR activities with employees, hearing and resolving employee grievances
  • Acts as a labour law expert; monitor, follow-up and study local labour law requirements
  • Train managers to coach and discipline employees, and counseling employees and supervisors
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
  • Handle confidential matters with discretion


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources
  • 3+ years in human resources or recruitment
  • Experience in working in a multicultural environment, familiarity with working with remote teams
  • Excellent English skills, written and spoken. Native in Japanese, other language skills is a plus
  • Experience in working with teams in India is an advantage 
  • Exceptional communication skills, writing skills, interpersonal skills, and ethical mindset
  • Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution
  • Extensive knowledge of HR policies and systems
  • Familiarity with Workday and working knowledge of GSuite is a plus
  • Recognized as an expert in the HR field.
