Description and Requirements
Here’s how
- Collaborate with all stakeholders for ongoing and planned Software development projects to review the user requirements, develop test objective outcomes, create organizational test policies, and build test strategies and test plans
- Plan the testing activities in line with the available resources and deadlines
- Ensure the test environment is ready and all designated testers are granted access to it prior to testing
- Work with the designated testers to develop their capacity and skills by means of training sessions, conducting workshops on software testing best practices, and roll out user guide documentation
- Identify opportunities for test automation when feasible and coordinate the same with the software developer team
- Develop and implement test cases and test procedures, and confirm all designated user testers are properly trained to perform them
- Schedule the actual software tests, monitor the test process, measure the performance, and control the outcome and feedback flow to the development team
- Build and implement a Quality Assurance/Control program for testing consistency across all user test groups
- Generate progress reports throughout the software testing phase to ensure that the testing is properly tracked, deadlines are met and roadblocks are communicated in a timely manner
- Meet regularly with developers to validate every identified defect is addressed and fixed prior to each release
You’re the missing piece of the puzzle
- You have solid Software Testing experience for 2+ years in your most recent role within a major industry such as Telecommunications, Energy, Finance, or Government
- You have a proven track record in successfully leading software testing campaign under challenging resources and time constraints
- You have been commended for your excellence in communications and reporting (clear, concise and influential)
- You are highly skilled in planning and time management, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a rapidly changing environment
- You are an expert written and verbal communicator with an obsessive eye for quality
- You are known to manage high volume workloads while maintaining great levels of quality and attention to detail
- You are able to learn quickly from success or failure, apply sound judgement, and get things done all while navigating through change, ambiguity, and high pressure environments
- You possess strong collaboration skills and an ability to bridge the gap between system development teams and user teams requesting the development scope
Great-to-haves
- Software Testing Certification (e.g. ISEB or ISTQB)
- ITIL certification and/or training
- Agile/Scrum Master certification and/or training

As a Software Test Lead within our Reliability Centre of Excellence Incident Management portfolio, you will collaborate with different teams and stakeholders for Software projects to build out functional user requirements, test objectives and outline test use cases to ensure top quality results. You will also be advising on testing resources needed, raising opportunities for automation and reducing the overall
Software development cycle time. In addition, you will coordinate development of user documentation and guides between the software development team and user base teams performing the testing. You
will also play a central role in overseeing testing compliance, quality assurance and timeline adherence by the user base teams who are performing the user testing.
Our industry and technologies are constantly changing, so an essential part of being successful in this role involves being able to adapt and thrive in an environment of change. On any given day, you could be tasked with analyzing new user requirements to introduce a new tool or improve an existing tool, building software use and test cases, developing training material for testers, working with developers to analyse test results and working on getting all defects fixed prior to official software releases.
