TELUS International is looking for a Solution Architect to join our AI team!

Role Summary
A Solution Architect is a critical part of our Artificial Intelligence team and works closely with the TELUS International sales and product team and their Artificial Intelligence (AI) customers to define, create, and present creative solutions. This position takes a leadership role in mapping TELUS International service offerings to specific customer requirements, with a particular focus on Artificial Intelligence.

You will be a member of the Product Solutions AI Team. This team is collectively responsible for delighting clients with cutting-edge solutions, leveraging technical competency, process innovation, cost savings, as well as ensuring that we continuously improve our wide range of services in this exciting field. By analyzing customer requirements, you will identify market trends and opportunities to propose and deliver innovative, value-driving new solutions.

Primary Responsibilities
  • In cooperation with Sales and internal production team members, lead and participate in the development of proposals and pricing models for complex or innovative solutions
  • Create ROI and other economic models to substantiate the proposed solution.
  • Engage and consult with customers to gather requirements.
  • Define solutions that leverage TELUS International capabilities to address client needs.
  • Participate in discovery meetings and present solutions to our customers.
  • Maintain status reports for project stakeholders to communicate issues /progress.
  • Demonstrate systematic and disciplined approach to tracking product deliverables.
  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor and strategic partner with our internal team.
  • Understanding the merit, risk and viability of the solution(s) proposed to meet the objectives of the business.
  • Negotiate with and influence senior leadership.
  • Diagnose business needs, analyze business processes, data flows, IT / technical artifacts and extract understanding of how the system or business process works as input into projects / solutions.

Minimum Requirements
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Data Science (including data collection and curation), Linguistics, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of processes and tools related to data collection/annotation for text, speech, video and imaging.
  • Experience in Solution Development, Pre-sales Consulting or Global Program Management.
  • Experience working with industry analysis and enterprise technology sales.
  • Ability to work in a high performing team environment.
  • Knowledge of crowdsourcing and staffing.
  • Excellent communication and customer presentation skills.
  • Experience working with and leading geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams.
  • Financial analysis/modeling skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, if needed.
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to multilingual and multi-cultural issues.
  • Must be highly motivated, creative, proactive and solution-oriented.
  • Experience in design/implementation/consulting experience of Machine Learning solutions is a plus.
