Roles & Responsibilities:

• Primarily the function of ordering facilities from 3rd party carriers on behalf of TELUS.

• Ability to collaborate with a variety of diverse groups and teams (internal and/or external) to effectively introduce and Implement change in the workplace.

• Develop detailed technical design that will deliver optimum solutions for complex customer requirements.

• Low level Network design for the global enterprise customers.

• Verify and ensure that design standards and records are maintained on new/existing services.

• Communicate with external / internal customers to clarify customer needs

• Maintain a high level of performance under the pressure of time constraints and a fast-paced changing environment

• Analyze the requirements of the job to determine what steps need to be followed to complete the requirement.

Skills Required:

• Should have knowledge of Telecom domain: Telecom Fiber/Copper Network architecture

• Basic understanding of Knowledge of transport network technology, architecture and elements (xWDM/SDH/SONET).

• Should have a good understanding of network design principles & industry standards.

• Good to have knowledge of OSI Layers.

• Knowledge of TCP/IP enhancements such as multicast, QOS techniques, bandwidth and path reservation techniques.

• Demonstrated ability in planning and organizing to meet scheduled deadlines.

• Intermediate/strong technical and analytical skills. Requires judgment in making and owning technical decisions.

• Knowledge of MS Office (Word / Excel / Power point).
