Position Overview
TELUS International is looking for an HR Coordinator to join our onsite team in Las Vegas, NV!
The HR Coordinator supports the Human Resources team under the direction of the HR Manager and HR Director. This position provides administrative support to the HR team as well the larger Operations onsite function, including greeting team members, responding to inquiries, maintaining new hire files and information, completing reports and presentations, and performing basic administrative functions.
Responsibilities: HR Support (90%)
Complete employee transactions within HRIS (Workday) and Ticket Central
Support ADA and LOA processes as needed
Prepare and maintain personnel files including confidential files electronically
Respond to inquiries regarding the general company and HR policies and procedures
Schedule and set up meetings and other events for HR
Prepare agenda and take notes during department meetings
Assist with employment verifications requests
Partner with Operations supervisors to provide answers to HR-related questions for the team member population
Maintain strict confidentiality of employee personal and HR information
Maintain equipment (submit facilities/IT Tickets for HR) and supplies (office supplies and other supplies as needed)
Send out and collect mail for the HR department
Opens and sorts Mail
Provide support to the Operations Administrative Support as needed
Assist with travel arrangements (booking flights, hotel accommodations, car rentals) for HR Team members
Other general office duties as assigned
Operations Support (10%)
Support employee engagement activities including ordering supplies, coordinating activities, supporting OMs with Team Member activities as needed
Assisting in the onboarding process for all new hires (equipment pickup, login credentials, scheduling and planning of support teams)
Assisting in employee offboarding process (badge shut down, equipment return, on-site assistance)
Coordination and support of organization branding and building updates (conception, vendor selection, bids, procurement, scheduling, and support)
New class on-site commencement setup (badges, meals, lockers)
Support capacity planning collaboration with global teams
Core Competencies
Strong skills in Google Suite and Microsoft Office programs
Knowledge of HR and business policies, processes, and procedures
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
Demonstrated strong organizational, time management, prioritization, and coordination skills, with proven ability to work independently and in a team
Well developed analytical skills to assist in issue identification and resolution
Well developed technical, analytical, and troubleshooting skills to assist in issue identification and resolution
Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Can maintain professionalism and expected workplace conduct
Ability to self-initiate follow up, work independently, and adhere to deadlines
Ability to work with members of the TELUS International team at all levels of the organization
Willingness to learn new processes and ability to learn quickly
Ability to follow instructions with keen attention to detail and use professional judgment
Education and Experience
2 years of experience in an administrative role with a strong preference for experience in Human Resources
Some college-level coursework in human resources
