TELUS International, Inc operates in 24 different countries, including the US, with over 50,000 team members. And now we are launching our newest contact center site, in North Charleston to be specific! We're looking for great local talent to work in our exciting and engaging new site.


Position Overview:


The Human Resources Manager will partner with the Operations Director and Operations Managers in providing HR solutions that support and help achieve the TELUS International Call Center business strategies and objectives.  The successful candidate will guide and manage the overall Human Resources services, policies, and programs.


Specific Responsibilities May Include:

  • Provides oversight and implements policies/procedures as well as monitoring of employee relations, benefits, payroll, workers compensation, and HR related training    
  • Leads the management team in creating a safe, respectful workplace and a positive working environment where team member engagement is at the forefront
  • Partners with management by providing Human Resources advice, counsel and recommended decisions; analyzing information and outlining potential risks
  • Provides strategic HR solutions, analyzes data to support business initiatives through focus groups, surveys, interviews, and other methodologies; evaluates and applies the data to support decisions
  • Maintains and updates department policies, procedures, processes and guidelines
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements, partnering with legal counsel, and advising management on appropriate actions. 
  • Oversees the payroll and benefits activity ensuring the process and practices are in compliance
  • Is a strategic partner in reducing attrition to meet monthly and annual goals for the site

Required Experience, Skills & Competencies:

  • 6-10 years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience, with an emphasis in Payroll, Benefits and Employee Relations
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a similar field or equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory / management experience
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience in implementing strategic organizational changes
  • Must possess the ability to manage both the strategic and day-to-day operations with superior organizational skills
  • Ability to drive high levels of performance across all areas of HR and Operations
  • Proven track record in driving world class team member engagement
  • Ability to act as a strategic partner to the business

Preferred Experience, Skills & Competencies:

  • Master's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field
  • PHR/SPHR certification
  • Experience and/or knowledge of a Contact/Call Center work environment
  • Workday or other HRMS software experience
