Description and Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Management of full lifecycle of complex IT projects and programs.
- Strategic alignment across multiple cross-functional teams and stakeholders serviced by IS
- Roadmap ownership and alignment laterally across teams and vertically to project delivery dates and sprint outcomes.
- Project activity tracking and capitalisation guidance as well as working with project management leads on cost management.
- Implementation guidance and solutioning in partnership with analyst and architect resources.
- Vendor engagement as needed.
- Capacity management and reporting.
- Effective communication as it relates to projects and programs.
- Adequate and timely risk and issue management.
- Working with project management team and application managers on budget tracking.
- Update Senior leaders in the organisation of the status of various initiatives
- Be a trusted technical advisor for teams engaging IS.
- Coach, mentor and develop team members
- Prepare budgets and track financials related to the team and the suppliers
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or a related field
- PMP, PMI-ACP and/or PgMP and/or PfMP certification or equivalent
- 5+ years in delivery of SaaS IT projects. IT Service Management system experience on the ServiceNow platform is preferred.
- Experience working in an agile environment and familiarity with all agile software development methodologies
- 5+ years as a program or portfolio lead coordinating various projects and programs within a portfolio
- Strong experience with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- 5+ years managing cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment
- Willingness to be hands on as needed to support delivery teams to get the job done.
- Demonstrated experience working successfully with geographically dispersed teams
- Knowledge and understanding of ITiL and IT Service Management principles.
- Understanding of SaaS systems and architecture
- Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
- Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent people person and contributes to and enjoys a positive work culture
- Stakeholder-focused approach
- Ability to travel 10-25% of the time
