The Digital Operations Centre team is at the core of TELUS International Digital Solutions support framework. Bring your passion for Information Technology (IT) problem resolution and superb customer service to this team which monitors and resolves incidents for our TI DS customers. 

As we move more towards cloud-based infrastructure, you will be constantly learning and growing together with the team, and playing with the newest technologies in one of the most fast-paced, complex environments. 


 

Responsibilities: 

  • monitor server and network devices to ensure the utmost reliability 

  • Your technical skills will be paramount to resolving complex issues as well as providing input on our troubleshooting practices and overall support process

  • Your ingenuity and natural collaborative style will ensure we provide sustainable solutions that deliver the highest standards of quality, integrity, and reliability in TI DS customers

  • Use monitoring tools and ticketing systems to monitor Unix, Windows, virtualization platforms, and network devices 

  • Ensure all incidents are properly triaged by either resolution or proper escalation to the next level of support Process all Domain Name System (DNS) change requests according to our change management protocols 

  • Collaborate with other support teams to ensure the incidents are handled holistically 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a small to medium-sized operational support environment.

  • English and French Fluent: B2 (Required)
    Verbal and written.
  • Network service experience with DNS, Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) Systems experience in Unix, Windows, VMWare, Cisco/Juniper, etc 

  • Hands-on assurance and support experience in compute/storage/networks/virtualization 

  • Flexibility to work 24x7 shifts 

  • Keen desire to challenge the status quo and improve processes and systems 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills 

  • College diploma in Systems Network Support Great-to-haves 

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Engineering 

  • 1 or more of the following certifications: 

    • Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT)/Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)/Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)

    • Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT)/Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)/Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)

    • Sun Certified System Administrator (SCSA)/Sun Certified Network Administrator (SCNA) 

    • Ability to obtain Government of Canada (Goc) - Level 2 (Top Secret) clearance
