The position in an exciting opportunity for a payroll specialist with prior experience.
Accounting Specialist (m/f/d)
|
- Registration/deregistration of employees at social security and in payroll program
- Monthly payroll (in compliance with cost center policy)
- Exit calculations
- Provide payslips to employees
- Submission of exit documents and records to terminated employees
- Statutory required declarations (e.g. wage tax/social security contributions) (monthly/quarterly/yearly)
- Submission of EFT data to Accountant (salaries, taxes and social security contributions)
- Submission of payroll journal entry to Accountant for booking in general ledger
- Reconciliation of payroll accounts together with Accountant
- Garnishment of wages: Administration, payments and filing
- Calculation of accruals: vacation, flexible time program, supplementary grant, training agreement, bonus accruals
- Administration and handling of long leave (e.g. maternity, sickness)
- Data maintenance in payroll program (e.g. vacation consumption, address change, salary change)
- Giving information on employee requests: employment/salary certification, forms for family allowance/maternity leave
- Delivering compensation costs for forecasts

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll, administration, accounting or finance
- Fluency in the Latvian and English languages
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Very good interpersonal skills and dynamic mindset in interacting with all levels of the organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to details and accuracy at very high level
- Passion for ensuring an excellent user experience
- Willingness to learn and take new challenges and be part of well-structured and organized team
- Experience with accounting program Hanza
