General Description Cloud Security Engineer is a global function responsible for ensuring TELUS International's consistent and systematic implementation of cloud security controls, relevant industry standards and best practices. Main Responsibilities ● Evaluate and implement cloud security controls. ● Mentor team members on cloud security technical and operational aspects. ● Perform risk assessment of cloud implementations. ● Analyze security requirements, cloud architecture and designs to ensure adequate security controls are provisioned for cloud infrastructure. ● Assess cloud security controls for AWS, GCP and Azure cloud platforms. ● Drive cloud infrastructure change management to ensure security impacts are analyzed and approved before implementation. ● Evaluate and orchestrate defense in depth architecture in cloud infrastructure. ● Operate a cloud security program with a landscape of cloud security tools and technologies. ● Deliver cloud security awareness program to promote a security culture in software development and IT infrastructure teams. Desired Skills ● 3+ years of working experience in the cloud security domain. ● Strong knowledge of cloud security issues. ● Experience in risk analysis of cloud infrastructure. ● Experience in implementing cloud security solutions. ● Good understanding of serverless and container based application architecture. ● Excellent oral and written communication skills. ● Excellent presentation and training skills. Certifications ● Certifications in CCSP / AWS Certified Security Specialty / GCP Cloud Security Engineer or equivalent. Education and Experience ● Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Information Technology or equivalent. ● 5+ years total working experience with 3+ years in cloud security domain.
