The Digital Solutions team is looking for a DevOps Engineer with 8+ years of background experience in the field. We are searching for someone who is strong in WebLogic, Tomcat, Ansible & Service Mesh. The ideal candidate will have experience with Defect Tracking tools such as HP ALM Octane, and the Atlassian suite.
This is a contract position that can be a Hybrid work style.

Here's what you will be doing
Thorough understanding of the Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Practices adherence to the SDLC processes, policies, and procedures and makes recommendations for updates to the Release Management documentation.
Provides operational level oversight and control through the use of Release Plans and Communications Plans, System Organization, and Dependency Charts established for each Program/Application Stack.
Ensures the appropriate amount of planning is conducted based on the method of delivery and complexity of the release in order to minimize risks and to clearly articulate the impact of the maintenance to the stakeholders.
Maintains highly accurate tracking of code releases and system maintenance for all environments, as applicable to each Program/Application Stack, to ensure environments are kept in alignment and to provide accurate Deployment metrics.
Reviews required artifacts for accuracy and completeness as applicable to each environment (Examples: Release Notes, Methods of Procedure, Test Results, Change Requests).
Coordinates Releases with the Support Center, Change and Configuration Management, Data Center Teams, Test Teams, and other external groups where applicable and according to external team processes.
Actively monitor Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Tests (UAT) deployment progress and ensures DevOps Analysts' availability if needed for escalation on Production deployments.
Troubleshoots issues with post-deployment smoke testing prior to engaging other resources for support.
Partners with DevOps Engineers for deployment troubleshooting and ensures that application owner signoff is obtained before a rollback or other deviation from the plan is acted upon.
Performs reporting on Post Product/Feature launch metrics on effectiveness to be measured for overall success.
Ensures that Release Retrospective is conducted for release windows that are significantly exceeded or completed unsuccessfully and that root cause and appropriate corrective actions are identified and acted upon.
Qualifications and Skills
Proficient with ServiceNow Change Management, Remedy, Cherwell, and CMDB or similar tools
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of products
Experience with process improvement techniques and methodologies such as Process Mapping, DMAIC, and Six Sigma/Lean
Experience with Defect Tracking tools such as HP ALM Octane or similar
Understanding of robust software development processes and software configuration management policies.
Experience working with agile teams utilizing Scrum or Kanban
Experience with Code Repository tools such as CVS, GIT, or similar
Experience with the Atlassian suite of products such as Jira, Confluence, FishEye, and Crucible
Preferred Related Work Experience and Number of Years.
Education/Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in business-related discipline, Software Engineering, Computer science or equivalent work experience
Certified in ITIL V3 Foundations
Certified ITIL Release and Control or equivalent experience
Certified in SAFe
