Description and Requirements

About the role:

As a Knowledge Base Developer, you are responsible for providing successful user experience design and user interface design for the knowledge bases.  You create, enhance, and maintain knowledge bases’ structure, layout, and portals. You also manage knowledge base elements, widgets, and add-ons supporting the account and its stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and present mockup knowledge base portals for stakeholders/ potential clients

  • Perform needs analysis and document knowledge base requirements to scope solutions

  • Create new portals or perform  layout updates requested by stakeholders/ clients

  • Advise on knowledgebase best practices and usability

  • Document  processes and procedures necessary to maintain the knowledgebase 

  • Perform enhancements to portals designs and implement new functionalities within the tool such as interactive menus, QA’s section, etc.

  • Provide support to training and best practice sharing in matters of knowledge management

  • Focusing on customers, knowing my organization, managing self-development, giving support

  • N/A no people management accountabilities

  • Strong HyperText Markup Language (HTML) knowledge and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)

  • Ability to read and understand Javascript

  • Content Management System  (CMS) experience

  • Demonstrated ability to link/integrate data from multiple data sources

Requirements:

  • 1+ year experience in current position as Developer or closed pensum of Systems Engineer or related fields - Must

  • Schedule flexibility

  • 1 year of tenure as TELUS International team member

  • 3 years of studies in Information Technology, Business Administration, Pedagogy, or similar

  • 85% English Proficiency

Functional competencies

  • Strong HyperText Markup Language (HTML) knowledge and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)

  • Ability to read and understand Javascript

  • Content Management System  (CMS) experience

Studies and Experience:

  • 1 year of work experience in the technology field or knowledge base development ( must)

  • 3 years of studies in Information Technology, Business Administration, Pedagogy, or similar

  • 85% English Proficiency

  • I Aspire courses completed ( must)
