TELUS International is seeking a full-time Sr Manager of Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) effective immediately. Empowered to develop and drive the strategic sustainability plans and programs at TELUS International, the role is diverse, fast-paced and evolving as the needs of our company, our customers, our investors, our regulators and the planet change. 

Responsibilities: 

Reporting to the Chief Corporate Officer or her designate, the senior manager of ESG at TELUS International is responsible for creating and supporting the implementation of TELUS International’s global ESG plan, including but not limited to:

  • Working with team members around the world to develop and further the company’s sustainability efforts 

  • Collaborating with current and prospective customers on shared ESG priorities and commitments, including regular disclosure and updates

  • Tracking and reporting on various subjects including environmental sustainability, diversity, equity and inclusion, corporate social responsibility, impact sourcing and more

  • Writing and coordinating all the details for the annual TELUS International Sustainability Report and other communications tactics 

  • Liaising with colleagues to fully produce the Sustainability Report, including coordinating edits, design, web site promotion, internal and external communications, etc

  • Running ESG-focused programs and managing projects

  • Serving as a global prime for Corporate Social Responsibility across TELUS International

  • Leading the submissions for various ESG ranking systems

  • Partnering with the Legal team on the development of governance documents

  • Acting as a resource for data and information across the company and with our parent company, TELUS Corporation

  • The senior manager will strategize and share the story of TELUS International’s caring culture, internally and externally, by writing content, motivating others and driving results in pursuit of the TELUS International ESG priorities.

  • The candidate must be able to work independently but collaboratively, and with little supervision. This role has no direct reports. 

Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • University degree in journalism, communications, English or related 
  • ESG courses and/or certification appreciated
  • ​Experience in ESG for a large, global company is preferred.


Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent writing, strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • The successful candidate must be extremely organized and detail oriented, while still maintaining a key focus on the ‘big picture’. 
  • A storyteller at heart, the Sr Manager of ESG at TELUS International should seek ways to share and amplify our caring culture story with diverse audiences around the world.
  • Collaboration is critical for this role. There is a need to liaise regularly with members of various teams at TELUS International, including Finance, Legal, Facilities, Corporate Social Responsibility, Investor Relations, Human Resources, Sourcing, Communications and Marketing and more.
  • The successful candidate is expected to stay current on evolving ESG-related regulations and disclosure recommendations around the world, with a focus on North America.
