Responsibilities:
Providing support and resolving technical problems to a customer SLA
Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills with a desire to take on new challenges quickly
Communicating directly with internal and external customers effectively and in a professional manner
Participate in team projects to enhance the technical infrastructure or improve the quality or efficiency of the problem resolution process
Incorporate operations best practices (Automation, Repeatability, Security, and Recoverability)
Manages support activities of a private cloud environment providing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) to external customers

Qualifications and Skills
Minimum 7 years of server administration experience in a VMware ESX server environment
Fluent in French (working knowledge of English an asset)
7 - 10 years of experience with VMware ESXi server systems (5.x/6.x/7.x) or Windows server (up to Win2019) or Linux server (6.x/7.x/8.x).
7 - 10 years of experience with x86 architecture (Intel, AMD)
Previous experience in large enterprise environments is required
Previous experience in supporting customer hosted servers is an asset
Experience supporting high availability, mission critical infrastructure
Skilled in server management including capacity planning and monitoring
Knowledge of security including patch deployment
Strong knowledge of virtualization concepts
Knowledge of TCP/IP Networks
Knowledge of networking concepts, specifically Dynamic routing, Firewalling, Load Balancing, and VPN.
Experience with code development languages such as Java and Python as well as scripting
Knowledge in JavaScript and Powershell/PowerCLI
Comfortable in writing standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and light documentation to support operations and compliance requirements
Education/Certifications
ITIL Certification is an asset
Any VMware/Linux/Windows Certification is an asset
Must be able to obtain Government of Quebec and Government of Canada Reliability Clearance status

Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together
You will become a member of a national team providing operational support to TELUS International hosted cloud systems and servers. This TELUS International team is responsible to responsible for system implementation, and the adoption of tools and standard operating procedures. You will be implementing and testing patches and system upgrades, developing documentation, securing the environment, and assuming system responsibilities. This this role you will have to use excellent troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills and have an aptitude to adapt to changing work environments and acquire new skills quickly. You will be joining a driven bilingual team when French fluency is required.
