We currently have an Application Support Analyst position open. Local candidates (at St Louis MO) and those who can relocate to St Louis are preferred, but candidates who can work from client offices at Madison, Denver, Charlotte and Stamford would also be considered.



Job Responsibilities:

  • Java application troubleshooting including thread and heap analysis. Understanding complex multi-application environments, which interact in a firewalled environment.

  • Understanding of Splunk and AppDynamics or similar applications.

  • Splunk log analysis for application troubleshooting. Must be able to develop ad hoc queries on the fly to pinpoint application issues.  Needs to be able to articulate search parameters and commands. 

  • Should know REST and SOAP API.

  • Knowledge of tools like SOAPUI, POSTMAN, to test APIs.

  • Usage of AppDynamics (or equivalent application performance monitoring (APM) tool, such as DynaTrace or New Relic) to troubleshoot and monitor application health and performance.  This would include investigation of business transactions, information points, and health rules to pinpoint application problems.

  • Understanding of Splunk and AppD or similar applications.

  •  Excellent communication skills.  Loud, clear, and easily understood by a diverse audience.  Able to convey information to leadership and technical audiences.

  • Providing technical mentoring and day-to-day direction of technical staff responding to alarms, triaging issues, and escalating appropriately.  Constantly striving to improve team response.

  • Technical curiosity, seeking to understand why things work the way they do, look for improvement opportunities.
