As a Node.js Developer at TELUS International Digital Solutions, your days will be filled with exciting challenges and meaningful contributions. You will develop new features and maintain existing TELUS portal applications using Node.js. Your focus would be on developing new features, maintenance of existing portal applications, delivering best user experience and high quality.



Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop new features and maintain existing portal applications using Node.js.

  • Ensure a seamless and exceptional user experience for our clients.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

  • Leverage OpenShift/Kubernetes and GCP stack knowledge to optimize performance.

  • Utilize GitHub Workflows for efficient version control.

  • Understand and implement Webhooks and events for effective communication.

  • Take ownership of every client interaction and is accountable for effective outcomes beyond that interaction.

  • Collaborate to get things done by leveraging their own and reaching other's unique talents.

  • Demonstrate empathy by listening to understand a client's unique emotions and situations, in order to communicate in a clear, honest and genuine way.

  • A team member who eagerly adapts to meet the changing needs of our clients

  • A team member who proactively seeks to make things better.


Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience as a software developer.
  • 2+ years of experience with NodeJS.
  • Experience with a cloud platform such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
  • Experience writing tests.
  • Knowledge of development principles such as OOP and Single Responsibility.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Mongo and DynamoDB.
  • Experience with CI / CD platforms such as CircleCI, Travis, GitHub Actions or Azure Pipelines.


Nice To Have

  • Experience with Federated GraphQL.
  • Experience with TypeScript.
  • Experience working with microservice architectures.
  • Experience with AWS services such as Lambda and API Gateway.
  • Experience with multiple software development languages, ideally PHP or Python.
