Description and Requirements

  • Must Have 1-5 years of experience. 

  • Transport trunking circuit design.

  • Critical switching circuit design.

  • Central Office (CO) and Mobile Serving Office (MSO) physical and logical circuit design.

  • On-net, Near-net and Off-net circuit ordering for wireline and wireless voice orders.

  • Legacy circuit migration design.

  • Packet Transport System (PTS) circuit design.

  • Testing with trunking technicians and field on commissioning circuits.

  • Live DCS or NE configuration in CO / MSO.

Additional Job Description

Required Skills to Perform the roles & Responsibilities:

  • Solid understanding of SONET Transport Network.

  • Solid understanding of TDM.

  • Strong understanding of voice switch infrastructure.

  • Prior experience in the Telecom field.

  • Knowledge of a variety of digital cross connect systems and network elements.

  • Experience with a variety of provisioning commands in DCS or NEs.

  • Understanding of Telecommunications protocols (SS7, STP, ISUP, etc).

  • Work Shift (IST): Canadian working hours ( 6 PM - 3 AM (summer) & 7 PM - 4 AM (winter) ).
