Description and Requirements
Manage day-to-day operations during a shift as per the defined operating procedures.
Create engineering designs linking layer 1 physical infrastructure to layer 2/3 intelligent devices.
Providing an end-to-end path solution to the Enterprise customer for the service is BI, WAN L3, CES services.
Adept in analyzing information system needs, evaluating end-user requirements, troubleshooting for complex information systems management.
Responsible for maintaining the customer network, devices, and services.
Responsible for preparing the Configuration Documents as per the customer requirements.
Verify and ensure that design standards and records are maintained on new/existing services.
Troubleshoot customer network issues (LAN WAN) and provide corrective actions to restore customer services.
Communicate with external / internal customers to clarify customer needs.
Collaborate and facilitate on reaching specific goals even when faced with ambiguous situations.
Responsible for migration from Metro to Converge edge architecture.
Establishing effective relationships and engaging with key stakeholders to ensure aligned, consistent communication.
Understanding of NAR, Threat/Release/ change management process and requirements.
Ability to collaborate with a variety of diverse groups and teams (internal and/or external) to effectively introduce and Implement change in the workplace.
Develop detailed technical solutions as per the Customer requirement.
Analyze the requirements of the job to determine what steps need to be followed to complete the requirement.
drive the support team to work on the tasks by respecting the defined priority.
Continuous improvement: Analyze the supported items on a regular basis, to keep improving the support process/efficiency, provide proactive product improvements recommendation to product team to help to improve the product operation efficiency, user experience, to avoid user mistakes etc.
Ensure SLA are met and maintain DSR of the various tasks.
Candidate should be be open to work in rotational shifts (starting from evening 5 PM to 2 AM and 8 PM to 5AM in morning)
INDIAN HOLIDAYS not applicable
CANADIAN HOLIDAY schedules have to be followed.
Candidates should be okay with Mandatory “On-Call” support during off-shift hours and during holidays/week-offs for Sev1/Sev2 issues.
Required Skills:
In-depth Routing Protocols experience and operational knowledge: EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS.
Hands-on experience and good understanding of networking concepts: MPLS , OSPF, EIGRP, BGP,MPLS ,DS3, T1, Frame Relay, ATM, and DSL ; Fiber/Copper.
Working knowledge of TCP/IP enhancements such as multicast, QOS techniques, bandwidth and path reservation techniques.
In-depth knowledge of the configuration and maintenance of routers and switches. (Alcatel, Cisco, Juniper).
Knowledge of Carrier Ethernet Services.
Should have a good understanding of network design principles & industry standards.
Good to have knowledge of OSI Layers.
Demonstrated ability in planning and organizing to meet scheduled deadlines.
