Position Summary

Supporting our IT recruitment activities for our TI Digital Solutions, the IT Recruitment Team Leader leads and empowers their team in their own functional area and helps in the execution of tactical activities in each area. They work with the HR Manager/Sr. HR Manager to mentor their team and focus on developmental initiatives to groom for further growth. They also ensure the attainment of hiring targets and job qualifications, provide input to the recruitment process, review and identifies areas for improvement, suggest, and execute new strategies to bring about increased efficiency and effectiveness of the team. They establish professional working relationships with various sets of stakeholders to ensure the alignment of recruitment activities with the fast-paced and continuously changing business demands.

Functional Responsibilities:


  • Oversees the productivity of specific sourcing channels by monitoring the performance and contribution of each channel owner assigned to the Sourcing team.
  • Ensures delivery of target footfall and assists in class headcount completion through quality candidates for multiple programs.
  • Manages a team of channel owners responsible for delivering footfall and hires.
  • Develops team members pertaining to their performance and work attitude through continuous coaching, mentoring, and training.
  • Participates in strategic projects and/or initiatives and may perform tasks – assigned within Sourcing or outside the team – to accomplish the account’s and/or department’s objectives.
  • Recommends and executes planned sourcing activities including call-outs to ensure target applicant footfall and hires are achieved on time.
  • Represents the company in all kinds of external and internal recruitment/sourcing events sanctioned by TELUS International Philippines.
  • Carries out all kinds of sourcing channels/projects/initiatives and may perform tasks assigned by the TA Sourcing Manager for the accomplishment of the account’s and/or department’s objectives.
  • Develops and fosters close relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Maintains databases and trackers pertinent to sourcing operations to monitor and analyze recruitment/sourcing operations, and reports status, effectiveness, and quality of specific sourcing channels.
  • Regularly calibrates with TA Recruitment and Operations on hiring demands and profiles.


  • Participates and oversees the recruitment process as carried out by respective Talent Acquisition teams (i.e. phone screens, paper screens, initial and final interviews, reference checks).
  • Delegates recruitment tasks to team members, and drives strict adherence to timelines and recruitment processes, policies, and procedures to meet the hiring targets for the specified time frame while upholding the quality and competence of applicants hired.
  • Monitors the end-to-end recruitment process and continuously recommends changes and improvements that align with business requirements. Responsible for endorsing all TA shortlisted candidates' profiles and the conversion of raw resumes and CVs into TI format to TA Manager.
  • Observes the status of agent requirements by ensuring close coordination among team members and coordinating closely with their stakeholders for their different hiring requirements.
  • Calibrates with internal departments for specific hiring requirements (i.e. qualifications, work experience, and exposure) and ensures the right fit of candidates.
  • Practices proper reports management and drives for adherence of Talent Acquisition Associates and Assistants. Maintains, and generates campaign-specific reports, as well as reviews and monitors other internal reports related to Talent Acquisition.
  • Develops team members through continuous coaching, mentoring, and training.
  • Fosters and maintains close relationships with customers.
  • Takes part in the final stages of the recruitment process by means of conducting the job offer and onboarding.


  • A bachelor’s degree in psychology, human resource, human capital management, and any-related fields
  • At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Five (5) years of work experience in recruitment/head-hunting or sourcing, preferably within the ITO industry with one (1) year in a supervisory capacity. Exposure to customer service, sales, or any labor-intensive industry is a plus.
  • Candidates who can start ASAP will be prioritized.
  • Must be comfortable working on a mid-shift schedule in TELUS Discovery site.
