Forbes lists ‘Autonomous Cars’ as one of the technology trends for the next decade and also estimates ML engineers spent 70% of their time in pre/post-processing & data management steps. Companies need to build sophisticated tooling (supporting all forms of sensor data), hire and manage hundreds of skilled people to ensure high-quality labelled data. Our autonomous driving customers estimate 1 hour of video data needs 800 man-hours of manual human work. Today, in the wake of the autonomous car industry only a few million km of data has been labelled, and 10x more will be collected before the world sees them on the road. Just as DevOps is critical to tech implementation, AI Ops will be a big challenge as AI development commercialises in the next 5-10 years. We aim to become an AI data platform, a critical part of the AI infrastructure stack. 

Job Description
About Role

The Operations Manager (OM) at TI AI is a key role in ensuring the delivery of projects to clients who:
● Manage both in-house personnel and resources from contracted vendors
● Ensure utilisation, appropriate cost structure & high quality. output
from these resources
● Prepare an optimal resource allocation plan, ensure adherence and amend/replan according to business requirements
● Facilitate training across projects in the most scalable way
● Coordinate closely with project and engagement managers to
ensure that the client deliverables are met; Involved in resolving
client issues
● Involved in hiring and onboarding of appropriate Quality, training
and fulfilment resources
● Ensure achievement of various KPIs for their work stream:
minimum idle time, high utilisation, high gross margin etc.

Responsibilities

● Planning and Projections
● Project fulfilment and Delivery as per the Project Plans
● Work with Project & Business Teams to understand requirements and remove roadblocks
● Define benchmarks of the Annotation tool - in terms of rate and quality
● Build a high-quality Supply pool who are performing above benchmarks
● Onboard & Train new setups for your Supply pool depending upon the demand
● Onboard and ensure training of the team

Requirements (Must Haves)

● At least 2 years of business/operations experience. Prior startup experience
is preferred.
● Vendor Management Skills
● Prior annotation & Quality Control experience is a plus
● Great communication skills
● Diligent, hardworking & process-oriented.
● On the feet, the ability to work under pressure would be a big
bonus.
● Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
● Bachelor’s degree /Appropriate equivalent experience with
diploma
