Description and Requirements

The Finance & Payroll team of TELUS International Bulgaria is a fully-fledged finance division of the leading CX (Customer Experience) provider in Bulgaria for TELUS International. The Finance Department is covering all areas of finance, accounting, pricing and procurement. We run ERP System Workday, our financials are audited by a Big 4 auditor, we partner with 4 large international banks and operate in a global company.

Today, we are hiring for the role of Senior Operational Accountant!

Your responsibilities:
  • Diligently record daily bookings for business transactions as per IFRS
  • Prepare and review of the weekly disbursement schedule
  • Account for financial transactions, run month-end bank freezes and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare orders for payments to suppliers and the state budget, ensure maker-checker process is adhered to
  • Apply critical thinking to ensure accurate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
  • Payroll bookings and analysis
  • Actively participate in monthly closing procedures
  • Prepare reports including for management purposes
  • Participate in preparation of VAT declarations, audits and other mandatory monthly and annual reports and documents under Bulgarian legislation
  • Participate in the calculation and accounting of the company's tax obligations, including VAT, one-off taxes, corporate, etc.
  • Contributor to the preparation of the interim and the annual individual and consolidated financial statements under IFRS 
  • Participate and support the process of preparing the company's budget.
  • Prepare various reconciliations and reports for SOX audit  
  • The role reports directly to the Chief Accountant 
Our requirements:
  • Master degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role 
  • Prior experience with ERP System would be an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of the Bulgarian accounting and tax legislation
  • Advanced analytical, organizational and communication skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Advanced skills in Excel
  • Attention to detail
