Description and Requirements

The Software Quality Assurance Analyst II main purpose is to test all aspects of software, technically and functionally, to achieve and deliver a quality solution.  Focusing in designing and creating testing plans and ensuring whether the quality requirements adhere to the acceptance criteria. Duties include identifying whether products are functional, reliable and meet end user’s expectations. 

Main Responsibilities:

Design and implement testing plans for products, identify procedures and scenarios for the quality control of products and services. Process product review and inform the development team of defects and errors. Communicate quantitative and qualitative findings from test results to the development team and project manager as well as the PMO to identify lessons learned. 

Drive and execute test plans, scripts, for use cases, user stories, workflows, end to end process. Build and execute ServiceNow test plans, test cases, test scripts for both manual and automated testing. Translate requirements into test plans, UAT User Stories, User cases and sprint backlogs in JIRA. 

Track test case management and bug tracking.  Participate in design reviews to provide information about the functionality expected or potential problems; perform continuous reviews to ensure compliance with policies writing code, database design and user interface design; develop, implement and document plans, scenarios, procedures and test cases; test software compatibility with programs, hardware, operating systems and network environments; test plan schedules or strategies according to the scope of the project or delivery dates; audit versions of source code, test and monitor the performance of the software to ensure efficient operation; support in coordination and implementation processes  with the team of implementers.

Knowledge:


  • Excel Intermediate - Required

  • Google Suite - Required

  • Outstanding analysis and test scripts design, automation, execution, analysis of the execution - Required

  • Knowledge of web programming languages specially object-oriented - Preferably Java - Required

  • Knowledge and experience in Relational Database - Required

  • Experience based servers OS: Linux and Windows - Desirable

  • Knowledge and experience platform versioning source code with GIT - Desirable

  • SCRUM methodology - Desirable

  • Automation framework experience (Cypress or Selenium) - Desirable

  • English: B2
    • Oral and written comprehension
    • Appropriate use of language




Studies & Experience:


  • Computer Systems Engineering  or related careers - Desirable.

  • Minimum 1 year as Software Quality Analyst or Applications tester. - Mandatory

  • Experience analyzing and designing scenarios and test cases, documentation - Mandatory

  • Experience in defect identification and defect reporting - Mandatory

The Software Quality Assurance Analyst II is responsible for complying with the quality standards of the applications or products provided by the Information Services team, so that the maximum efficiency of resources is achieved, in addition to providing and making technical recommendations about errors that cause a decline in the organization, as well as verify the achievement of the objectives set in the planning.
