Description and Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented File Configuration Specialist with expertise in EDI and US Benefits Administration for Telus Health. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of benefits administration processes, extensive experience in file configurations, and a proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to benefit data rules and their relation to associated file integrations.

  • Strong understanding of US Health & Welfare Benefits Administration processes and regulations.

  • Proficiency in EDI standards and file configuration.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Adaptable to changing priorities and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Minimum 5 to 12 years of relevant experience.

Additional Job Description

  • Proficiency in working with benefits administration software and platforms.

  • Experience with EDI tools and technologies.

  • Proficient in post version 9 Actian Data Connect mapping and data extraction.

  • Working knowledge of file and data interchange formats such as CSV, XML, JSON, X12.

  • Proficiency with the rules and standards governing the ANSI X12 (HIPAA) 834 transaction set.

  • Knowledge of SQL for querying, manipulating data and researching issues.

  • Understanding of FTP/SFTP setup for secure transmission.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant software/computer related fields preferred

  • Open to work in Night shifts.
