To safeguard and backup the storage data for different platforms. You’ll also work to solve database errors, troubleshoot different storage issues and ensure the efficiency and security of data storage systems. We’re looking for someone who has experience in working with MS Active Directory, Exchange, Oracle, SQL Server, Windows, VMware, and UNIX servers. Your expertise is definitely the essential component we’re looking to make everything fall into place.

You will be Responsible for


  • Performing daily monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of backup jobs on different platforms.

  • Manage and support Storage systems, including vulnerability remediation, capacity management, configuration management, provisioning, and zoning of new servers using SAN switches.

  • Storage Provisioning tasks. (create and allocate LUNs to server environment)

  • ISILON object storage Administration.

  • SAN replication technologies like SRDF management and troubleshooting.

  • SAN Fabric management and troubleshooting. (Brocade & Cisco)

  • Analyze backup software performance accordingly to meet client needs and monitoring of scheduled backups to ensure success or take remedial action for failures

  • Provide backup system data statistics to management.

  • Perform regular DR (Disaster Recovery) test plan of backup data restoration and storage replication availability.

  • Monitor usage and performance of storage and perform capacity planning for storage growth to management.

  • Monitor the agreed service level, document & maintain the configuration of the systems; provide regular reporting to relevant parties.

  • Manage storage and backup changes through change request process & provide status reports to the relevant parties.

  • Respond promptly to incidents, investigate & provide temporary &/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties.

  • Ensure service levels meet requirements. Propose and implement an action plan when required.



Qualifications and Skills


  • At least 10 years of experience in the role.

  • Strong experience with storage, backup, and recovery software/systems.

  • Experience working with MS Active Directory, Exchange, Oracle, SQL Server, Windows, VMware, and UNIX servers.

  • Strong experience with ISILON and SAN networks.

  • Open to providing 24x7 Operations Support.

  • Expected to work during off-peak hours on system activities (e.g. patching, upgrade)

  • Experience in operating within guidelines, policies, and procedures.

  • Ability to execute instructions with minimal supervision.
