Description and Requirements
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will perform some or all of the duties entailed in the following areas of activity:
Operation:
Identify, implement, test and monitor changes to OACIS and other assigned information systems
Ensure integration with other applications during updates and upgrades
Conduct validation testing on the information systems to be supported
Manage dictionaries and parameter tables for assigned information systems
Develop and draft procedures or documentation required to address defects discovered by clinical system users
Ensure compliance with the operating and usage rules for the information system in accordance with client standards
Support and maintenance:
Address incidents or defects reported in internal requests by:
Identifying and diagnosing the incident
Developing a solution and following up on its resolution
Documenting the proposed solutions
Having the changes integrated into the other clinical system modules
Updating the application operating procedures and distributing them to the relevant support teams or clients
Required knowledge:
Strong knowledge of the client’s operating systems (Windows, Unix, Linux or Citrix) and databases (Sybase, Oracle)
Recent experience with Java, C++, JavaScript, Angular, XML, XSLT, and Bean shell scripting.
Very Strong knowledge of Java Swing.
Familiarity with Junit.
Basic automation skills.
Sonaraube automation and integration skills.
Knowledge of Java and Eclipse in a source-controlled environment
Knowledge of source code management systems (CVS, SVN, GIT)
Knowledge of SQL, Queries and Database management
Experience with SQL (stored procedures, cursors, functions)
Good understanding of compilation and deployment tools (Ant, Jenkins, Hudson)
Solid knowledge of clinical and administrative information systems
Knowledge of networks and virtual machines
Strong knowledge of the process for developing and implementing information systems
Understanding of and adherence to the Customers First approach
Desire to enhance knowledge of IT resources and forward-looking technologies through continuing education, self-directed research or reading
Familiarity with the context and use of IT resources and forward-looking technologies

Additional Job Description
Required professional designation/certification:
Undergraduate degree in computer science, information management or other relevant university education
Required experience:
10+ years of experience in computer science, including two years in support, development, and maintenance of clinical and administrative information systems
Experience working in an environment with rapidly changing priorities and aggressive timelines
Demonstrated experience with software design principles and practices
Experience in an agile or iterative software development environment
Experience with Performance and Automated testing is an asset
