Position Overview


TELUS International (TI) is seeking an Accounting Manager for a newly-created role on our

growing team. The ideal candidate will have excellent accounting knowledge, comfortable with

multi-national ERP systems, is organized and detail-oriented, self-directed, and can prioritize

multiple tasks with geographically-dispersed cross-functional stakeholders to meet competing

deadlines. The primary responsibilities for this role will focus on the monthly close process at

the corporate office and statutory financial reporting in support of various compliance

requirements, but the role is expected to evolve and grow over time.


Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Support the monthly close process for the Canadian head office, including the preparation of

accounting entries for various entities with cross-functional business partners while utilizing

the capabilities and inputs from multiple ERP systems

• Coordinate with the regional finance teams to facilitate a timely and efficient consolidation of

global results including intercompany eliminations

• Ensure the compliance of various Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls and the timely completion

of close and reporting-related processes through the preparation of account reconciliations

and variance analysis

• Support the reporting process to our controlling shareholder

• Prepare and/or review the financial statements for various subsidiaries for the purpose of

periodic legal entity Board meetings, audits, tax or other statutory requirements

• Contribute ideas and participate in ongoing process improvement projects to enable the

scaling of finance operations for expected future business growth

• Provide accounting support as needed in connection with the preparation of tax returns

• Support the broader Finance and Accounting team on ad-hoc projects as directed


Qualifications

• At least [5] years of relevant experience

• Experience in a global business environment and a public company preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

• CPA, CA designation, in good standing

• Excellent accounting and analytical abilities

• Outstanding written and oral communication skills

• Self-starter with high attention to detail and organized working style

• Ability to work collaboratively across regional and departmental functions
