Description and Requirements
Main responsibilities:
● Schedule, implement and coordinate Non-Prod changes and perform the sanity check before
handover to non-prod owners.
● Closely monitor all non-prod environments with automated health checks and take appropriate action for any environmental issues.
● Identify the environment monitoring gaps and work with Application teams and improve the
stability of the application.
● Perform thread and heap analysis of advanced Java applications while troubleshooting application issues in a lower environment.
● Install and maintain Certs in a non-prod environment.
● Open and coordinate firewall tickets when required by the application to interact with the
different dependent systems.
● Schedule, implement, and coordinate security patchings of OS/WebLogic/tomcat/apache. Update Weblogic/tomcat/apache/JDK/Java version if required by the security team.
● Stop/Start application in a non-prod environment during various maintenance.
Required Technical and Soft Skills:
● Linux/Unix knowledge is required
● Knowledge of Log monitoring tools like Splunk and Application Performance monitoring tools
(APM) like AppDynamics and DataDog is desired.
● Knowledge of Cloud Technologies will be an advantage.
● Excellent communication skills. Loud, clear, and easily understood by a diverse audience. Able to convey information to leadership and technical audiences.
● Providing technical mentoring and day-to-day direction of technical staff responding to alarms, triaging issues, and escalating appropriately. Constantly striving to improve team response.
● Technical curiosity, seeking to understand why things work the way they do, looking for
improvement opportunities.
