About the role

The BI Solutions team is seeking to hire a BI / Analytics TL responsible for ensuring all reporting solutions are supported with in-depth analysis of data for client / program-specific business needs and the design, development, and delivery of solutions to meet those business needs. Provide direction and guidance to ensure consistent achievement of goals. Provide accurate and timely communication of issues to their manager. Coach, mentor and develop BI Developers and Insights Analysts for skills expansion and promotional opportunities. Focus on continuous improvement, execution, and delivery. The role includes the below primary responsibilities.


Responsibilities:

  • Leads and manages a team of Reporting Analyst’s (Developers & Analysts) in their key duties (building reporting for TI Accounts according to the SOW and OPS requirements, ad hoc reporting requests, measure and report dashboard usage, manual extraction of data from sources to feed reporting solutions, troubleshooting and addressing issues, etc…)

  • Manages the intake of work and distribution to the team

  • Ensures team actions and resolves issues reported by the end users in the ticketing system within the SLA timeline

  • Ensures the upkeep of BI Solution documentation( Data Integration SOPs, BRD’s, Functional Design/Technical DesignDetermines, UAT Scripts, etc…)

  • Identifies areas of improvement for the team’s performance and creates actions plans for the team

  • Provides continuous training to Reporting Analyst to improve skill set and develop TMs for promotion into other BI roles( BI Developer/ Insights Analyst)

  • Ensures that personal and team goals are set and provides the necessary coaching, mentoring and assistance in order for  team members to achieve their targets 

  • Conducts performance management activities for team members supervised, ensuring that each team member meets/exceeds their goals and metrics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis

  • Prepares and submits reports on team performance, issues, action plans for improvement, dashboard usage, ticket resolution, data input completeness and accuracy to manager and program manager

Knowledge:

  • English B2 - Required

• Oral and written comprehension 

• Appropriate use of language

  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, Data Studio reporting & functionality

  • Familiar with TI Enterprise systems, data and reporting such as: Workday, Verint, Cisco, Avaya, etc.

  • Knowledge of data structures, database design, data warehouses, business intelligence/analytic tools, SQL, ETL tools, and data integration methods

  • Desired but not essential, experience in evaluating 3rd party solutions and managing the data integration process (API, ODBC, SFTP);  Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as:

  • Sisense/Tableau/BusinessObjects/QlikView/PowerBI/Looker/Domo/etc... will be an advantage

  • Experience of Agile Methodologies a plus but not essential

  • Skills in SQL scripting will be an advantage 

  • A strong desire to develop a technical understanding of the capabilities of the Business Intelligence Sector to enable career growth

 

Studies & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in quantitative domain (e.g. Analytics, Statistics, Math) or relevant experience in data analytics or BI.

  • Currently undertaking or graduated in post-secondary education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Business Intelligence or 5+ years experience in a BPO operations environment in an analytically driven role - Required

  • 2+ years in a Team Leader role - Required
