As a database project manager, you will create and implement standardized database management procedures, installation, and upgrades in the databases.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the scalability and performance of existing database architecture.

• Develop database structures and features according to organizational needs.

• Hiring, supervising, and mentoring database development teams.

• Protecting data by developing data security and restoration policies, procedures, and controls.

• Conduct, diagnostic tests and evaluate performance metrics.

• Develop procedures to ensure data integrity and quality.

• Prepare and present system performance reports to senior managers.

• Perform database maintenance, migration, and upgrading hardware and software.

• Document processes and complying with best practices in database management.

• Keep up to date with developments and trends in database management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Professional with 10+ years of experience in the area.

• At least 5 years of experience in database management.

• Advanced proficiency in relational databases such as MySQL and Oracle.

• Strong knowledge of non-relational databases.

• In-depth knowledge of database technologies, architecture, and data security.

• Advanced analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Education/Certifications  

• Bachelor's degree in management information systems (MIS), computer science, information systems, information technology, or related field.
