Description and Requirements

QA Technical Lead

This position will play a primary role in planning, implementing, leading and executing all aspects of Quality and Testing. The role requires hands-on QA expertise, the ability to take initiative, and develop and evolve the current QA processes. The candidate needs to be able to analyze the systems to determine what to test, the priority of those tests and the best way to test. Is expected to have broad knowledge of software development and testing. The candidate must be able work across multiple teams,  understand the business flow of the portfolio.

 

Responsibilities 

 

  • Review, analyze and understand system and business requirements.

  • Create, Maintain, manage and enforce Test plans

    • Risk analysis management

    • Workload Balance

    • Provide Estimates

  • Release Support

    • Coordinate team support

    • Plan Testing Activities

  • Support the testing life cycle activities.

    • Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated).

    • Maintain testing progress report.

    • Active participation in all scrum ceremonies

  • Reporting and documentation.

  • Support Defects Life Cycle

    • Troubleshoot and Triage issues

      • Liaise with teams to identify possible root cause

  • Create and improve already implemented processes.

  • Team Coordination

    • Lead and mentor team members.

  • Drive Quarterly Metrics, Goals and KPIs

  • Drive MTTR Metrics

  • Set standards ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices allowing the evolution of QA processes.

 

Experience and Knowledge

 

  • Strong knowledge of software QA/testing methodologies, tools, and processes is required for this position.

 

  • Key Concepts

    • Basic knowledge of networking concepts (IPs, subnet size, routers, routing protocols, subnetting, network diagrams)

    • Knowledge of database concepts (queries, how databases work)

    • Testing Life Cycle (for both manual and automated)

    • Knowledge in Test Driven Development

    • Strong knowledge of Test Automation Frameworks

      • Data-Driven Testing Framework

      • Keyword Driven Testing Framework

      • Hybrid Driven Testing Framework

    • Continuous integration and continuous delivery life cycle

    • Rest and Soap Services

    • Types of tests

    • Coding Standards 

 

 

 

Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Hands-on QA/testing experience

  • Diligent in reporting the execution of test cases.

  • Proficient in writing and executing test cases.

  • Strong analytical, problem-finding and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)

  • Ability to work with multiple teams and flexibility to multi-task and adapt to changing business needs.

  • Highly organized, detail oriented, extremely responsive and able to prioritize a large number of tasks.

  • Enthusiastic and proactive team player who is delivery-oriented, takes responsibility for the team’s success, and strives to continually learn and improve

  • Experience creating documentation

 

 

Good to have skills:


  • Preferable experience in International Roaming services (TADIG) testing.

  • Preferably well versed with 3G, 4G, and 5G architecture.
