TELUS International is looking for a Language Data Analyst in Barcelona, Spain to work onsite for a machine learning project! At the moment, we are looking for candidates with fluency in Finnish.

As a Language Data Analyst you oversee the curation and management of data. You ensure that the AI systems have access to high-quality, diverse, and relevant data to enable accurate and ethical decision-making.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identify, gather and process relevant data from various sources, ensuring its quality, accuracy and integrity

  • Implement data cleaning, transformation and enrichment processes to optimize data usability for AI models

  • Adapt language to fit a particular culture or market (localization)

  • Translate content from English to Finnish


  • Giving support, focusing on customers, embracing technology, managing self-development 

  • No people management accountabilities

  • Ability to perform curation, cleaning and transformation processes

  • Excellent data analysis skills

  • Good troubleshooting and problem solving skills

  • Familiarity with bias mitigation techniques and ethical considerations in AI

  • Basic knowledge in programming languages and relevant libraries


  • Experience in data annotation or data labeling is a plus

  • Educational background in Linguistics, Literature, Translation or equivalent in a plus

  • Proficient English oral and written

  • Proficient in Finnish, oral and written
