Position overview:

The Finance Analyst is responsible for preparing and managing the reconciliation of intercompany balances across subsidiaries and divisions. This role ensures the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of intercompany accounts for TELUS Digital– Head Office, while facilitating the timely resolution of discrepancies. Key responsibilities include executing administrative processes, organizing and registering various documents, and applying established rules and procedures to ensure the smooth and accurate completion of each task. 


Key responsibilities:

  • Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliations of intercompany accounts to ensure accurate recording and balancing of transactions.

  • Data Analysis: Analyze intercompany transactions, identify and resolve discrepancies or inconsistencies, and follow up on outstanding reconciliation items to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Communication: Collaborate with various departments and entities to resolve reconciliation issues and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting for Head Office.

  • Process Improvement: Help to develop and implement procedures to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the intercompany reconciliation process.

  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain organized and comprehensive documentation of intercompany transactions and reconciliations for audit purposes and internal reference. This can involve conducting research and analysis as required.

  • Revenue Management: Review regional revenue submissions, coordinate with billing affiliates, and perform corresponding reconciliations between revenue and accounts receivable. Ensure alignment and accurate reconciliation of revenue data between regional offices and head office.

  • Journal Entries: Create and process journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.

  • Perform other tasks and services within your field of competence as assigned by your immediate supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related careers

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy

  • Previous experience in accounting or finance, particularly with a focus on intercompany reconciliation or similar tasks, is preferred
