As an active member of TELUS International, you will be in the heart of a major TELUS transformation program supporting it as a Java Developer.


Join the Digital Solutions team on a transformative mission to modernize our systems. You'll play a vital role in making existing applications resilient and scalable, laying the foundation for a future-proof technology stack that allows us to phase out legacy components piece by piece.

 Your Key Responsibilities


  • System Evolution: Enhance resilience, scalability, and maintainability of existing Java applications using Spring Boot, paving the way for smooth migrations.

  • Greenfield Development: Design and implement new backend components and services that propel our sales systems forward, steadily replacing outdated elements.

  • CI/CD Integration: Streamline build and deployment processes, enabling a rapid and reliable transition to modern systems.

  • Collaborative Approach: Work closely with a team dedicated to dismantling technical debt and building scalable solutions that meet evolving sales needs.

Technical Qualifications

6+ years of experience 


  • Java: Deep understanding of Java principles, best practices, and design patterns.

  • Spring Boot: Strong experience in developing web applications and RESTful APIs with Spring Boot.

  • CI/CD Proficiency: Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery principles and tools.

  • GitHub Collaboration: Comfort and efficiency in using GitHub for version control and collaboration.

  • SRE Mindset: Focus on reliability, performance, and maintainability of systems.

 Highly Valued Skills


  • Golang & gRPC: Experience with Golang and gRPC for building high-performance microservices.

  • Google Cloud Platform: Familiarity with Google Cloud services (GCP).
