Description and Requirements

Required Skills and Experience: 
  • A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated working experience with Oracle Coherence installation, configurations and caching services; 
  • 3+ years proven experience in technical support and system administration in Unix/Linux environments. 
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Hotcache, Golden Gate and Oracle Traffic Director; 
  • Strong knowledge of UNIX and Linux operating systems, shell scripting, network protocols, file systems, and storage environments; 
  • Knowledge of Oracle engineered servers such as Exalogic; 
  • Experience in system monitoring and transaction tracing using Dynatrace; 
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform basics and Secret Manger; 
  • Experience of deploying and troubleshooting web services; 
  • Experience with weblogic configuration and tuning; 
  • Familiarity with server configuration and automation tools (e.g Ansible); 
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills; Strong analytical and communication skills, a team player. 
  • Restore cache clusters from data snapshot or backups; Perform traffic failovers in between primary and passive caching sites; 
  • Perform Coherence version upgrade and patching; Adjust memory size and number of storage nodes in cache clusters; 
  • Configure thread counts for Coherence caching services; Support performance tuning on cache clusters and weblogic servers; 
  • Troubleshoot service degradations on data update to the cache and data retrievals from the cache; 
  • Configure Oracle Traffic Director and Coherence proxy servers; 
  • Verify data integrity and synchronization between data grid and the sources; 
  • Monitor health state of cache clusters and performance of caching services using Dyntrace and custom data grid Dashboard dashboards on GCP; 
  • Collect volume metrics from cache clusters and services; Maintain data grid eventing listeners and message publishing to Kafka; 
  • Maintain and support custom data grid monitoring and alerting scripts; 
  • Maintain daily cache data clean up and back up jobs; 
  • Support source database refresh and test environment rebuilds;

  • A key contributor in a platform DevOps team by working closely with Technology Architect, Developers and Consultants to support platform operations, troubleshoots and analyzes the cause of production problems and ensures the platform is operating with performance and reliability.
