As a Technology Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our Oracle database systems to ensure seamless operations and high performance.



Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle database software and related products.

  • Design and implement backup, recovery, and failover strategies.

  • Monitor database performance and proactively tune to ensure optimal performance.

  • Troubleshoot database issues and implement solutions in a timely manner.

  • Manage database security including user access management and data encryption.

  • Perform database capacity planning and resource usage analysis.

  • Collaborate with developers to optimize SQL queries and database design.

  • Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, processes, and

  • procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with database vendor license agreements and industry best practices.



Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven work experience as an Oracle Database Administrator or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of Oracle database internals, architecture, and data dictionary.

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle RDBMS versions 11g, 12c, and 19c.

  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming.

  • Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database problems in a production environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or Oracle Exadata.

  • Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for database monitoring and

  • management.

  • Familiarity with database replication, data warehousing, and business intelligence

  • concepts.

  • Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting.



Education/Certifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
