Description and Requirements

  • Lead a team of QA analysts within a project.

  • Defines the standard QA strategy for the implementation of defined benefit pension plan rules in our in-house software.

  • Provides technical leadership and expertise around QA and testing, e.g., appropriate use of testing techniques in appropriate cases.

  • Acts as a point of escalation for all testing and QA issues, and as the primary point of contact for QA resources.

  • Coordinates and reviews test requirements, test case selection and coverage, design milestone establishment and upload to ADO tracking system.

  • Review the uncovered testing requirements, identify reasoning, and action items. 

  • Ensures that tests are progressing on a weekly basis to meet interval or segment deadlines.

  • Ensures that the test grid is maintained up to date.

  • Participates in the testing phase with the client, attending meetings, providing progress reports, etc.

  • Prepare reports (Both Delivery & Time Tracking) using ADO to reduce manual tracking & maintaining live status of all projects & assignments.

  • Establish, monitor, and maintain all appropriate quality programs and procedures, testing methodologies and test equipment to ensure compliance to specifications.

  • Provide input to staffing plans at the team level to identify key / required skills.

  • Oversee project specific testing and coordinate assistance.

  • Support and peer-review tasks of QA resources.

  • Ensure the project specific testing strategy and test plan are communicated to the different stakeholders of the project.

  • Coach and train QA resources assigned to the project on QA best practices.

  • Track and share defined metrics to support and report on quality and project progress.

  • Report timely and accurate progress and risks with proposed mitigation plans.

  • Coordinate resolution of all quality management issues including reporting on KPI's and corrective action plans.

  • Review, develop and make recommendations to continuously improve QA processes to be followed within the department and in adherence to best practices.

  • Manage Project Plan through the lifecycle, Risks, Status, Governance Structure, Project sign-off and Reviews.

  • Drive new transitions as identified from time to time and partnering with the Transitions team.

  • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project and execute the project according to the project plan.

  • Participate and lead people engagement activities, forecast EWS, partner with a team to work on career development plans.

  • Create, track & complete Career Development Plans for team members.

  • Work with project team members to produce standard procedure/documentation and workflow analysis.

Additional Job Description

  • Have a minimum of 10-14 years of relevant experience in defined benefit pension plans. Pension Calculation testing experience is preferred.

  • Education – BCA/B.Sc/B.Tech.

  • Relevant experience in managing a team of IT and ITES Projects, preferably in an outsourced / offshored Industry.

  • Qualified candidates must have managed a team size of at least 10+ Analysts and should have handled multiple projects.

  • Understanding Test Requirements and analyzing the Application under Test (AUT).

  • Design / Execute Test scripts/ scenarios / Maintenance of test scripts, verify and validate record results.

  • Good knowledge of SQL programming, programming, SQL\Data and Testing.

  • Very strong knowledge on managing SLAs and a good knowledge/experience in Project.

  • Management as well as People Management skills.

  • Effective communication skills to manage different audiences.

  • Knowledge of Defined Benefits domain preferable.

  • In depth knowledge of Implementations work streams.
