Description and Requirements

The basic purpose of Continuity Planning (CP) is to minimize the adverse impacts of incidents and disasters through development and rehearsal of contingency plans.  This position will manage a team of continuity planners to meet requirements and objectives.

Availability Management and Continuity Planning practices involve designing, implementing and monitoring resiliency measures designed to maintain critical connectivity and provide alternatives in rapid support of impacted essential business processes.


Overview of tasks:


The primary focus of this role is to manage a team of continuity planners which will create/update continuity plans in order to ensure continuance of critical business processes despite incidents.  

  • Manage BC team for plan development and maintenance using existing processes and templates.

This position will also be expected to develop and maintain a small portfolio of continuity plans in order
to keep current and experience for self team processes, templates and other.
  • Manage BC team for quality and completeness in regards to business requirements including internal audits, client audits, certification audits and other requirements. 

Support audit requests for documentation and/or meetings as requested.
  • Lead BC team on scheduling and testing BC plans;

  • Determine recovery requirements, taking into account interdependencies between processes and IT systems support aspects;

  • Perform or support others in the identification and management of BC/BR project-related risks;

  • Assist with the creation of budget requests/proposals, business cases etc. for various BC/BR activities;

  • Monitor and prepare management reports on BC/BR-related plans, progress to plans, budgets, risks and opportunities;

  • Assist with the coordination and/or delivery of BC/BR-related awareness, training and educational activities, exercises/tests etc.;

  • Assist in a crisis to implement BC/BR plans, address operational issues, communicate clearly and effectively etc.

  • Support Sales and Solutions with expertise as requested during the sales cycle.



Your profile:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Business Continuity Management, preferably in the BPO Industry

  • University degree in Information Technology, Economics or a similar qualification

  • Knowledge of Business Continuity Management practices and protocols as well as relevant experience in Emergency Response Planning / Incident & Crisis Management

  • Experience in leading a team will be considered as advantage

  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities with the ability to interact and influence at all levels of the organization

  • Fluency in English (min C1)

  • Sound knowledge of MS Office and G Suite

  • Excellent analytical skills, creativity, critical thinking and the ability to identify problems and propose solutions

  • Independent and self-motivated way of working
