As Project Manager, you'll proactively manage stakeholder expectations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely delivery within budgetary constraints. With your expertise, you'll coordinate cross-functional resources and communicate project objectives effectively. Also, your strong communication, leadership, and negotiation skills will drive innovative solutions and foster collaboration with clients, vendors, and internal teams.



Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned projects to successful completion

  • Proactively manage project stakeholders’ expectations and communicate accordingly.

  • Provide project cross-functional resources including third-party participants with feedback, encouragement, and advice.

  • Troubleshoot issues that may arise during projects and devise remedial solutions

  • Develop individual project plans complete with budgetary information and resource needs

  • Communicate with our IT resources managers about resource allocation

  • Host project control meetings per agreed cadence both internally and externally

  • Continuous control and refinement of project budget as needed to ensure timeliness and fiscal responsibility

  • Take a risk-managed approach to sustainment/ refresh initiatives

  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed

  • Communicate project objectives to all team members involved



Qualifications and Skills

  • 5+ years’ experience in software development or design

  • 5+ years of Project/Program Management experience and/or project management of a major, complex engagement.

  • Experience managing projects throughout the project life cycle including pre-sales.

  • A proven track record for executing and delivering on objectives; previous experience managing change orders and risk management is a must.

  • Knowledge of applications; infrastructure, network technologies, and cybersecurity components.

  • Knowledge of practical project management discipline

  • Thorough understanding of Project Management methodologies, principles, and practices

  • A true PM practitioner and leader.

  • Knowledge of Cloud Computing such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and VMWare.

  • Ability to complete projects on time and within the stated budget

  • Exceptional oral, interpersonal, and written communication, organization, time-management, and leadership skills

  • Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of PM principles, processes, and tools, such as Waterfall, Agile, and SCRUM.

  • Ability to drive cross-functional resources to deliver TELUS solutions to the external client.

  • Ability to gather and understand client requirements.

  • Ability to negotiate, communicate, influence

  • Comfortable interacting with vendors, clients, and internal teams.

  • Ability to seek creative and innovative ways to deliver client solutions.

  • Strong presentation, oral, and written communication skills.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Ability to thrive in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated facilitation and organizational skills.

  • Mastered working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Outlook; Google workspace

  • Must have sound knowledge of IT Cloud services, Legacy IT services, and cybersecurity services as well a desirable good understanding of converged telecommunications solutions as related to wireless/wireline data, voice, IP

  • Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel.



Required Professional Designation/Certification

  • Required Professional Designation/Certification:

  • PMP/Prince2 Certification.

  • ITIL v3 Certification.

  • University Degree.

  • Knowledge of application and infrastructure architectures.



Education/Certifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer- or business-related discipline required (Master’s degree preferred)
