As a Project Manager at TELUS International, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our digital experience projects. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget, while collaborating with various teams to ensure top-notch delivery. 


Responsibilities

  • Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans outlining tasks, timelines, resources, and dependencies.

  • Resource Management: Allocate resources efficiently to ensure project goals are met within budget and time constraints.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, fostering collaboration and communication among team members.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project outcomes.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate project progress, milestones, and issues to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and expectations.

  • Budget Management: Monitor project expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints, seeking approval for any deviations as necessary.

  • Quality Control: Establish quality standards and monitor project deliverables to ensure they meet predefined criteria.

  • Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, evaluating their potential impact and implementing adjustments as needed.

  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any conflicts, obstacles, or issues that arise during the project lifecycle.

  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, reports, and other relevant records.

  • Client Interaction: Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering a positive relationship.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in project processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.



Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience: Previous experience in project management or a related role, demonstrating a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with team members, stakeholders, and clients.

  • Leadership Abilities: The ability to lead and inspire teams, delegate tasks, and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner.

  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills are crucial for managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing tasks effectively.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to analyze complex problems, identify solutions, and make informed decisions under pressure.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with project management software tools and techniques, as well as relevant industry standards and best practices.

  • Adaptability: The capacity to adapt to changing project requirements, stakeholder priorities, and external influences.

  • Negotiation Skills: The ability to negotiate effectively with stakeholders to achieve consensus and resolve conflicts.

  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to project planning, execution, and documentation to ensure accuracy and quality.

  • Technical Qualifications: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello) and familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.



Education/Certifications  

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as project management, business administration, engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Some positions may require a master's degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP - Project Management Professional)
