Responsibilities

  • Support your team of 10 developers and QA across multiple teams

  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and product leadership to ensure alignment and transparency across teams around goals, approaches, and growth

  • Timely hiring and recruiting, and building an effective team

  • Conducting performance reviews, coaching, and development

  • Establish and monitor both individual and team goals as well as organizational objectives

  • Facilitate meetings between engineering units and stakeholders

  • Work closely with HR to maintain contract management

  • Establish and manage project plans, timelines, schedules, team structure, resourcing, and communication both within and between teams

  • Ensure standards compliance, high quality, and timely releases of features/products to market

  • Encourage an inclusive and open environment that makes space for diverse viewpoints and working styles

  • Research and advocate for the adoption of best-in-class tools and technologies

Minimum Qualifications

  • Self-motivated, self-managing, with excellent organizational skill and an eye for quality

  • 3+ years of experience as a tech lead, product manager, or project manager in the development and operations of web services and/or web-based applications

  • 2+ years programming experience

  • Practical experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Strong project management skills

  • Able to communicate and discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences

  • Experience coaching team members and guiding their growth along career paths

  • Experience in recruitment, talent management, and evaluation of employees from diverse cultural backgrounds

  • Fluent English

Nice to Have

  • BS or MS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred

  • Current fluency in at least one frontend and one backend framework (Python and React preferred)

  • Experience with microservices architecture

  • Experience maintaining live applications at scale in a production environment

  • Experience as a people manager with a servant leadership mindset
