Responsibilities
Support your team of 10 developers and QA across multiple teams
Work closely with product managers, designers, and product leadership to ensure alignment and transparency across teams around goals, approaches, and growth
Timely hiring and recruiting, and building an effective team
Conducting performance reviews, coaching, and development
Establish and monitor both individual and team goals as well as organizational objectives
Facilitate meetings between engineering units and stakeholders
Work closely with HR to maintain contract management
Establish and manage project plans, timelines, schedules, team structure, resourcing, and communication both within and between teams
Ensure standards compliance, high quality, and timely releases of features/products to market
Encourage an inclusive and open environment that makes space for diverse viewpoints and working styles
Research and advocate for the adoption of best-in-class tools and technologies
Minimum Qualifications
Self-motivated, self-managing, with excellent organizational skill and an eye for quality
3+ years of experience as a tech lead, product manager, or project manager in the development and operations of web services and/or web-based applications
2+ years programming experience
Practical experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Strong project management skills
Able to communicate and discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences
Experience coaching team members and guiding their growth along career paths
Experience in recruitment, talent management, and evaluation of employees from diverse cultural backgrounds
Fluent English
Nice to Have
BS or MS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred
Current fluency in at least one frontend and one backend framework (Python and React preferred)
Experience with microservices architecture
Experience maintaining live applications at scale in a production environment
Experience as a people manager with a servant leadership mindset
