We’re looking for an HR Business Partner (m/f/d) for our location in Essen

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Advising management on disciplinary processes and preparing warnings and letters of termination

  • Advising and coaching managers on all HR topics and labor law issues

  • Acting as the first point of contact for all HR related queries from all team members

  • Supporting and guiding team managers and employees about company policies and HR best practices

  • Implementing HR processes/tools such as employee surveys, talent, performance and succession management, etc.

  • Supporting our employees with administrative processes and the preparation of documents such as certificates and references

  • Supporting the planning and organizing of engagement activities and events for the company team members

  • Maintaining a good and constructive working relationship with stakeholders on-site

  • Supporting and participating in the performance review process

  • Participating and assisting in other international or local HR plans, initiatives or projects

  • Ensuring full compliance with company policies and HR procedures

  • Assisting and educating team members and managers about Workday processes

  • Driving our Engagement survey and close cooperation with the Management on action plan creation

  • Close cooperation with our Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development and Comp & Ben teams

What we expect:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Labor Relations, Humans Resources, Psychology, Law or similar would be an asset

  • 3+ years of HR experience in a high-volume and fast-paced environment

  • Excellent German and good English language proficiency and communication skills

  • Knowledge of German labor law and of working with works councils

  • Highly empathic, approachable and open personality

  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive cases and topics

  • Team player with excellent time management 

  • Ability to work independently and good stakeholder management

  • Highly-developed organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to find creative, out-of-the-box solutions 

  • Workday knowledge would be a plus
